(DS) こどものための読み聞かせ えほんであそぼう – A series of “games” which are actually illustrated children’s books. Warning, the Mystery Dungeon games have really tiny text that’s hard to read.Ģ. Pokemon Gold, Silver or Crystal are actually the easiest to understand and learn from out of all the games (Red/Blue/Green have stilted text with not enough context, and the later games have way too much text and aren’t as easy to play if you can’t understand what they’re saying).
(GBC, NDS) All of the Pokemon games (although X and Y can switch in-game between kanji and hiragana by changing the settings).
Emulation software is entirely free, and runs on “ROMs” (digital versions of the info that’s on a game cartridge), which you can download online (techically, having a ROM copy of a game you already own is not illegal, and emulators aren’t illegal, but downloading ROMs of games you don’t already know is illegal – anyway you can find ROMs easily online.) If you have a device like a 3DS, you can buy a “flashcart” (flashcartridge) which is basically just a fake game cartridge that’s actually a USB, and you can load the emulation software etc onto it. Emulation means you use software to play the game on another gaming device, for example playing a gameboy game on a 3DS, or a PS2 game on a computer. Usually you’ll want to (or it’s only possible to) emulate a game instead of buying a physical cartridge. I’ll add more to this list as I find and play them. Maybe I saved before I went in the PCC this time, I forget.īut it definitely works for - these are gameshark codes, not game genieNOTE: post is currently in progress, i’m too tired to fix it properly before i publish the updates I then went to the PCC, walked in, walked out, and when walking out, the lady stopped me and gave me the GS ball. The screen froze right as the battle screen was about to start, I turned the codes off and the battle played fine, shiny pidgey
I went to some grass to make sure the shiny code worked. So I tried again: I enabled my shiny code and celebi at the same time. The event didn't trigger when I left the PCC. Then I tried the celebi event code, saved, and went to the PCC. I first used codes to go to golden rod, then save and power off. I'm using my actual save, it has one or two badges maybe. Ok, good news tested on my hardware, and it works.Īs usual for crystal, after booting into the cheat device and picking the codes, I then need to have my cheat device switched OFF before starting the game, otherwise I think the game won't boot. Now you just want a shiny - these are gameshark codes, not game genie When I go into the PCC (golden rod pokecenter) and walk forwards, a person comes up to me and gives me the item I tested on an emulator, with a new save (received a pokemon, but not much else). I think I remember I had a little bit of problems with crystal, like I needed to start the game with codes disabled, and then after booting, turn the code switch 'on'.
Have you tried any codes with your game and have they worked? Then, go to the PCC in golden rod, and exit? You did what the person said? As in, activate the cheat, save and turn off. I'm have the blaze xploder purple cheat device. I'm playing on real hardware, real cart, and I also have a hardware cheat device.
